God Doesn’t Need Our Help—Stop Adding to His Word
To all Mormons—and to anyone who thinks they can improve on God’s Word—hear me out. The Bible is sufficient. It is complete. It is enough. God does not need any man-made religions, cults, or human inventions to “help” Him out. He has revealed Himself fully, clearly, and perfectly through His Word, His creation, His Spirit, and His Son, Jesus Christ.
Some people think adding new scripture, new rules, or modern revelations somehow improves upon God’s plan. Let me be clear: that is a dangerous path. It’s the road of every extra-biblical, man-made religion—whether Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientology, Christian Science, Islam, or any other system that tries to insert itself between you and God. These are human inventions. They do not give you God. They give you confusion, more rules, and false hope.
God has already provided everything we need to know Him. Jesus Christ is the final Word, the living Word, the ultimate revelation. Adding to that is not guidance—it’s rebellion. It’s twisting truth to suit human desires. The Bible warns against it (Revelation 22:18–19), and history proves it over and over: men cannot improve God’s Word. They can only corrupt it.
God Speaks in More Than One Way—but He Never Contradicts Himself
Yes, God can speak outside the pages of the Bible. But here’s the deal: He never contradicts His Word. If a teaching does, it’s not from Him. And make no mistake—He doesn’t need any man-made religions, cults, or human inventions to “help” Him out. God doesn’t need human approval or extra scripture to validate His message. He’s fully capable of revealing Himself through His own means.
This includes any extra-biblical systems like Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Scientology, Christian Science, Islam, or any other man-made religion or cult. All of these attempt to insert themselves between people and God. None of them are necessary, none of them improve God’s Word, and none of them can claim authority to reveal truth apart from what God has already given in Scripture, in Jesus Christ, and through His Spirit.
Ways God reveals Himself include:
1. Creation shouts His glory. Mountains, oceans, stars—they all testify to His craftsmanship (Psalm 19:1). Stop ignoring it.
2. Conscience convicts. Even without a Bible, humans know right from wrong because God wired it in (Romans 2:15). Stop pretending otherwise.
3. History tells His story. God’s plan unfolds in nations, events, and miracles (Acts 2:22). Pay attention.
4. The Spirit points the way. God’s Spirit speaks directly to our hearts, guiding in truth (John 16:13). Listen, or you’ll miss it.
5. Providence in daily life. Doors open and close according to His will (Proverbs 16:9). Notice His hand.
6. Community matters. God uses other believers to teach, correct, and sharpen you (Hebrews 10:24–25). Stop isolating yourself.
7. Trials refine faith. Hardships are not punishment—they are tools to grow your faith (James 1:2–4). Quit whining. Grow.
And remember: God doesn’t need any of these man-made religions or cults—not Mormonism, not Jehovah’s Witnesses, not Scientology, Christian Science, Islam, or any other human invention—to accomplish His purposes. He is fully capable of guiding, revealing, and sustaining His people on His own.
The Bible Is Sufficient—but Know How God Works
Yes. Christians have a Bible, and that’s wonderful. It has shaped believers for centuries and continues to teach, correct, and guide every generation. But relying on “extra-biblical” claims is not only unnecessary—it’s dangerous. God has revealed Himself in ways that do not require human approval, extra scripture, or secret knowledge. The Bible alone is sufficient to know Him, trust Him, and follow Him. Don’t get distracted by human inventions or “modern prophets.”
Stop Looking for Shortcuts
There is no shortcut to God. He doesn’t need a man-made system to intervene on His behalf. God is fully capable of guiding you. He can speak through His Word, His creation, His Spirit, and through the community of believers. He provides wisdom, protection, and direction without a new “prophet” telling you what to believe or how to act.
If you want to know God, open your Bible. Pray. Observe the world He created. Listen for His Spirit. Engage with other believers. Follow Christ. That’s it. That’s all you need. Stop looking for man-made rules, systems, or books to “fill in the gaps.” There are no gaps. There is only God.
